It felt like being in high school again

The hot jock notices plain jane. Hot jock aka hottie summer associate and plain jane aka ME.

The firm had a bbq for the end of summer at work. I was sitting with friends and he walks by talking to someone and doesn't notice me. It's not like he and I are friends. We'll smile and say hi but that is it.

I ended up alone at the table. Then I notice someone walk past me, stop and I look up. It's him..it's him! He says "hi! how are you?" At first I am speechless and I think, do I have sauce on my face?" Gawd I hope not. I respond back "doing good and you?" He says "I am doing great as well and it's nice seeing he and he smiles." I say back "same here take care." When I saw Rosie I was blushing and all giddy. I can't believe he came up to me and said hi.

He got hired and will start next year in the fall. He's married and most likely younger than me.
