Given a task..sort of like a scavenger hunt

I got home late and was debating whether to check my emails. I did..and I got one from my "latest lover". In the subject it read: Read me now!!. Oh ok, well I better read it then.

It reads: When you do your jogging during lunch tomorrow, go down this street and you will see a bench and mailbox. Wedged under the bench is an envelope with your pet name.

I noticed that he was on messenger so I signed on. I told him that I have meetings tomorrow and won't be able to get away. Then I am having dinner with friends after work. I asked why the envelope? He said just because, it's just a card. I thought to myself, it was thoughtful of him to go through this trouble for me. We both thought that maybe the wind will blow it away or someone will find it, read it or throw it away.

Next morning I get to work. Another email from him and it reads: call me as soon as you can. I call him and he tells me to go a bank a few blocks from me. Go to the first ATM, look in the first box with the envelopes, there is something there waiting for me. I hung up with him and walked over there with my phone in hand. As I got to the ATM there was a guy but he was in the second teller. Lucky me no one was at the first ATM. I looked in the envelope box and there was my "something." It had my pet name. I called him back to let him know I have it in my hand. Seems that he went back to the bench early this morning and it was still there and he moved it to the ATM.

When I got back to my desk. I got an email from him. He wrote "I am sorry if I am freaking you out." I wrote back "that was cute and thoughtful of you to go out of your way to make me feel special. And no you are not freaking me out!"

This whole thing was funny and cute.
