Scratch him off my list
JC and I finally met. My friday started off on a bad start. We met for lunch. I approached him and he had this disappointed look on his face. I tried to give a hug and he just looked surprised. He patted me on the back. I felt a coldness from him. We talked briefly and walked over to the restaurant. Found a table, looked at the menu, he called for the waitress and we ordered. All this time he didn't have eye contact with me and we talked briefly. I tried to make him laugh but he didn't. He was this totally different person. The food came, he gobbled it down quick, when the waitress came by to see how we were, he said fine and can we please get the bill. He paid. We walked out. He said he parked a few blocks away and walked across the street, gave me a wave and said bye! He wanted so badly to get away from me.
What a prick! He was rude and had no manners. Much different from his emails and phone calls. He was like I know I am going to like what I see. WRONG! I told him, you haven't met me in person yet, it can all change. He didn't believe me. I was right.
He emails me later saying it was nice to meet for lunch...here comes the "but" to be honest, I want to see what my options are. During lunch he mentioned about a woman from L.A, that he is meeting next month and he wants see how it goes with her. I wrote back and said "Thank you for lunch, I figured you weren't interested in me. Best of luck to you."
I felt bad through the whole thing. Part of me wanted to say "hey you want to have lunch or not?" Obviously he wasn't happy at all. That is the end of his sorry ass.
As for what I thought of him? I found out how old he really was and he doesn't even look it. It felt like he was being forced to be with me. At one point, I just wanted to crawl under a rock.
But later that evening, things got better. I had dinner with a friend, who got free tickets to a baseball game. There was me, my friend, a few beers, rowdy crowd and some "hot" ball players. PRICELESS!!

I am missing something here. Whats not to like? Sounds like he didn't even give it a chance after putting the time into it. I would not make the same mistake.

Well... you got a free lunch!
Sounds like JC is a real ASS. Sorry about your feelings. I have never met a person that I had been chatting with that I didn't like!!
